From a small shop to a national supply partner
Sheen Zar Agriculture Trading Company® began in 1991 as a small agricultural supply shop in Kabul and was formally registered as a limited company in 2007 (License D-25621). Over more than three decades, it has grown into a trusted national agribusiness, procurement, and project-implementation partner operating across all 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
The company supplies and implements solutions across agriculture, livestock, logistics, and trading — from certified seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals to greenhouses, irrigation systems, laboratory equipment, agricultural machinery, and integrated pest-control services. Through a nationwide logistics network, Sheen Zar reaches remote and hard-to-access districts while maintaining the documentation, quality, and compliance standards expected by institutional buyers.
Since its first recorded contract in 2004, Sheen Zar has delivered 127 contracts for 47 organizations — including UN agencies, international donors, NGOs, and Afghan government ministries — with a cumulative contracted value of more than USD 5.79 million. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is the company's single largest client, with 22 contracts delivered.
